How do you judge a strategy firm before you hire one? You read what they think about your situation.
A written, argued point of view in fourteen days. Fixed fee, credited in full against any engagement that follows.
The Position is a paid, written point of view on your situation, delivered in fourteen days. It contains a stakeholder and opposition map, the arguments that will be used against you with the answer to each, a baseline read of public belief, a recommended line of attack, and ninety minutes with the partner who wrote it. If it does not change how you see the problem, you do not pay for it.
Request The PositionWhat is actually in it?
The stakeholder and opposition map
Who moves this, who blocks it, and who is currently undecided and reachable. Named individuals and bodies, not categories.
The three arguments against you
Written as your opponents would write them, at full strength, with the answer to each. Most clients find this the uncomfortable part and the useful one.
A baseline read of public belief
Where opinion sits today, so that everything afterwards can be measured against a number rather than a feeling.
A recommended line of attack
The frame, the sequence, and what to do in the first month. One recommendation, argued — not three options and a shrug.
Plus ninety minutes with the partner who wrote it, in person or by video. Delivered bound and by courier, never as an emailed deck.
Why is it paid?
Because a free pitch is a sales document and a paid position is work. You should be able to judge how a firm thinks before you commit to it, rather than afterwards.
What it costs
A fixed fee, quoted before we start, credited in full against the first invoice if you engage us. We do not publish the figure because no two situations price the same — but you will have it in writing before anything begins, and it will not move.
What it costs if it is wrong
Nothing. If the position does not change how you see the problem, do not pay for it. If you do not engage us afterwards, you keep the analysis and we keep our silence about having done it.
Questions about The Position
How long does it take?
Fourteen days from the intake conversation to delivery. In a live crisis we compress it, and we say so at the outset rather than discovering it late.
What do you need from us to start?
A ninety-minute intake conversation, any polling or research you already hold, and permission to read the public record of the situation. Nothing else. You are not assembling a brief for us.
Is it confidential?
Yes, in both directions. We do not disclose that we produced it, and we will not use it as a case study.
What if we just want the Position and nothing more?
That is a legitimate outcome and it happens. You keep the analysis and there is no follow-up sequence. You stay on The Standing list if you want it.
Can we see a sample?
No. Every Position contains a named opposition map for a real client, and showing one would breach the confidentiality that makes them worth having. The Standing is the public sample of how we think.
