Quebec 2030 · Election tracker

Quebec's next election, tracked every day.

Polls, seats, riding map, promises, candidates and the dates that matter, from public sources only, reported the same way for every party.

366 days to the next general election, Monday, October 7, 2030. Quebec's Election Act sets general elections on the first Monday of October in the fourth calendar year after the last one, which gives 2030-10-07; the Lieutenant Governor can dissolve the Assembly earlier on the Premier's advice, which is more likely under the incoming minority government. The last general election was held on 2026-10-05. Last updated

Seats now and at the 2026 election

    PartyLeaderNow20262026 vote

In the Oct. 5, 2026 general election, held on a new 127-seat map, the Parti Québécois won 59 seats (28.02% of the vote), the Quebec Liberal Party 40 (24.23%), the Conservative Party of Quebec 19 (20.66%) and Québec solidaire 9 (12.42%); the Coalition Avenir Québec, in government since 2018, won no seats (13.35%). Paul St-Pierre Plamondon is Premier-designate of a PQ minority government, to be sworn in Oct. 21; Christine Fréchette, who had succeeded François Legault as CAQ leader and Premier in April 2026, resigned as CAQ leader the day after the vote. These seat counts are from Élections Québec's tallies but are not yet final: Élections Québec will publish final official results only after judicial recounts (Vachon, Liberal lead of 10 votes; a PQ request is pending in Champlain), so the 2026 columns are unofficial until then. In 2022, on the old 125-seat map, the CAQ won 90 seats, the Liberals 21, QS 11, the PQ 3 and the Conservatives 0. Before dissolution the CAQ held 79 seats, Liberals 18, QS 11, PQ 7, Conservatives 1 and Independents 9.

    How we build this

Public numbers, reported the same way for every party.

Every figure links to its source: Élections Québec, the Assemblée nationale du Québec (National Assembly of Québec), published polls and news reports. The poll average is a plain mean of polls whose fieldwork ended within 30 days of the newest poll, or the last three polls if fewer. We don't weight pollsters, project seats or endorse anyone.
